Joining the StormerClan community

So you wish to join StormerClan?

That's great news! We are a community of friendly gamers that love to play online FPS and have a whole load of fun doing so!
In reality you will probably fit right in, however we don't just let in any tom, dick or harry. Or at least, we try not too! we insist on mature "fun" gamers whom are 100% against hackers, cheaters and those that get kicks out of spoiling everyones gaming experience.

We regularly police our server and remove those who spoil the experience, we to try keep it fun and fair for all, members and public alike.

StormerClan has Dedicated servers on which we host permanent game servers for Battlefield, COD and source games.

These include (but are not limited to):

Battlefield Bad Company 2 (aka BFBC2)
Battlefield 3 (aka BF3)* soon..
Battlefield 2141 (aka BF2142)
Call of Duty Modern Warfare (aka CoD 4)
Left for Dead (1 & 2) (aka L4D)

All StormerClan servers are ranked where applicable and often we will have special stats boards set up for members only too.

Membership

The 2 levels of membership of which you can apply for, are as follows:

Admin Member:

All Admin members pay a monthly subscription of £5 (some pay more, extra is voluntary).
In return Admin members have the following privileges:

Guaranteed slot for all games that we host
In-game admin on all games we host, where admin facilities exist
Access to "admin member only" areas on the forums
Ventrillo access with extra Admin options (Vent = Our own Voice comms server)
Access to the original StormerClan Steam Community, Blog and Newsletters
The chance to play for StormerClan in ED and friendly matches
Inclusion to StormerClan GEEK nights and their Newsletters
The chance to sit and associate with StormerClan at Multiplay i-series events, when & where StormerClan attend.
A chance to voice important opinions on clan matters
You get to be part of a fantastic, friendly, fun gaming community who like to have a good laugh!
The right to use our [SC] tag in game! :)

Lite Member:

Lite members do not pay subs. However, Lite members do have responsibilities to the clan.
As a Lite member you will benefit from no costs, but at the same time you are expected to help fill the servers regularly and post often on our website.
In return Lite members have the following privileges:

[SC]Admin members will kick general public to make way for Lite members on servers we run
Access to members only (not admin) areas on the forums
Ventrillo access (Vent = Our own Voice comms server)
Access to the StormerClan Steam Community, Gallery, Blog and Newsletters
The chance to play for StormerClan in ED and friendly matches (after admin members)
Inclusion to StormerClan GEEK nights and their Newsletters
The chance to sit and associate with StormerClan at Multiplay i-series events, where & when StormerClan attend.
You get to be part of a fantastic, friendly, fun gaming community who like to have a laugh!
The right to use our [SC] tag in game! :)

Please note, do not apply for Lite membership if you do not plan to frequent our servers often. We have only allowed for 20 Lite member places and when they are full thats it (unless current Lite members aren't pulling their weight that is).

The steps you need to take before joining:

Decide whether you want to be an Admin member or Lite member!
Read our Terms / Rules. Click here to see them
If you agree to our terms go to the next step, if not, sorry you won't be accepted.
Post a new thread in our request to join area here, and tell us a little about yourself.
Play on our servers and join us in vent so we can get to know you
- Download the latest ventrilo client here if you do not have it.
- Click here to join our vent after installing it. Then tell a member in-game that you are in the vent lobby and someone will drag you in to the relevant channel to meet us.
After playing with us for a week (or 2 at the most), you will have a better opinion on us and we of you. At this point (sometimes sooner) we will let you know if you are in, both by email and via your joining thread.
Finally, if you applied for Admin membership you will need to PM our clan treasurer PClarky to arrange subscription payments. If you applied for Lite membership you need to get playing on our servers!

Usually within 1 days of your joining, Gunslinger and / or Mystic_Donut will sort any Admin priveleges due on our servers, forum access etc and you will be supplied with new vent account details.

Please remember that when you apply it is very important that you state which level of membership you are applying for (Admin or Lite).

If you have any other questions you can email Admin (also via 'Contact SC on the left menu', or PM Gunslinger or Mystic_Donut.

We strictly disapprove of any players found to be hacking, cheating or abusive on our servers and if any player is found to be guilty of the aforementioned, whether clan member or visitor they will be kicked or even banned. We use technologies such as Punksbusted and more to help with this.

SadMadBrad plays CounterStrike, Bf2142 and a little COD 4 too! He is also our very own resident Bunny Hopper! You can find him bouncing around most of our servers and is often compared to a space hopper, infact most of the clan believe he is a direct decendant of those darn orange robbery thingies.
Watch out, hes springy, he's Sad and hes fooking Mad, ..he's Bouncy-Brad and he's coming to get ya! :)
