Who are StormerClan?

We are a dedicated gaming community of all ages, who play for fun. We are a friendly bunch and from time to time we recruit those who fit in with this simple principle.

What commitment do we expect from our members?

All we ask is that members are not abusive to other members and those that visit our website, vent channels, team speak channels and importantly our game servers.
We insist that members must view and post regularly on the StormerClan.com website. To be part of a community like StormerClan [SC], you need to be heard!

What are the types of membership available at StormerClan?

We offer 2 levels of membership:

• Admin member: All Admin members pay a monthly subscription (costs are further down this page).
  Admin members have the following privileges:
  • A guaranteed slot on all games we run
  • In game admin on all games we run
  • Access to members only areas on the forums at www.StormerClan.com
  • Access to the StormerClan members gallery.
  • Access to the members only GEEK night notifications.
  • GEEK nights! Paying members get reserved slots.
  • The right to use the [SC] tag! :)
  • A say on all clan matters
  • The chance to sit and associate with StormerClan at Multiplay i-series events, where StormerClan attend.
  • You get to be part of a fantastic, friendly, fun gaming community who like to have a laugh!
• Lite members: There is a strict limit of 20 Lite members. Lite members benefit from no costs, but are expected to help fill the servers regularly and post often on the website.
  Lite member accouts are structured as follows:
  • Lite members do not pay subs.
  • Access to members only areas on the forums at www.StormerClan.com
  • Access to the StormerClan members gallery.
  • Access to the members only GEEK night notifications.
  • GEEK nights! Lite members get preference over general public.
  • The right to use the [SC] tag! :)
  • The chance to sit and associate with StormerClan at Multiplay i-series events, where StormerClan attend.
  • Lite members have a responsibility to help keep our servers populated - so you must be a regular!
  • Lite members have a responsibility to post on our forums often - so you must be a regular www.stormerclan.com visitor!
  • You get to be part of a fantastic, friendly, fun gaming community who like to have a laugh!

Future member benefits may be included as and when, keep an eye on our website!

What do I get extra, as a paying Admin member then?

• Paying admin members get the final say on clan direction and clan server contents
  (Lite members are however welcome to suggest ideas).
• As a paying admin member you get reserved access to [SC] games servers.
• As a paying admin member you get reserved access to [SC] VOIP servers (Currently Ventrilo).
• Ability to kick troublesome and non-invited users from VOIP servers (currently Ventrilo)
• The opportunity to play in friendly matches.
• Limited member's only Admin* access to the servers you subscribe too, which in most cases include these options and more:
  • Ability to Kick*
  • change maps*
  • set next maps*
  • mute abusive players*
  • voice admin messages to in-game players.*
  *In some cases extra admin options will be given to selected members for use in match play and server maintenance. Admin benefits are only a right of paying members. Lite members have no rights to any admin facilities.

Note: Abuse of admin rights will result in the loss of admin rights to the abuser.
           This will range from a limited amount of time without admin to a permanent loss.

How much does it cost to be an Admin member?

All Admin members pay a monthly subscription of £5 (some pay more, extra is voluntary). Cost fluctuates depending on the amount of members at server renewal time.
We currently use a dedicated server, of which members can subscribe to monthly, or for a period of either 1 year, or 6 months from the date you subscribe.
Our joining fees are regularly under review and we always try to keep it as cheap as possible for our members. We also include adverts on our site that also help towards lowering costs to members.
Please check our site regularly for information on the current servers that StormerClan provide subscriptions for. If in any doubt, please ask Gunslinger, MysticDonut or Pclarky.

How old do I have to be?

As most of us are in either twenties, thirties and over we prefer mature players, however we will consider all applications. If you have any queries, just ask us.

How do I join?

Click on any of the "Join Us" menu buttons on the left of our website main page or post in the relevant forums to introduce yourself and tell us why you wish to join StormerClan.
Please make it very clear which type of membership you are interested in: Paying Admin member or Lite member. Also let us know which game server(s) you favour playing on.
An ADMIN will respond thereafter. Usually you will need to get in vent and play alongside [SC] members for a few weeks (unless we already know you), after which there will be a vote by current Paying members only, as to whether you are successful in your application to join. This vote can be in the forums or even verbally between members on our VOIP server (Ventrilo).
If accepted and after agreeing to these terms, and after we receive a cleared payment (if Paying Admin member), you are in!

What are the pre-requisites?

• You must own a legal copy of any game that is associated to the StormerClan game server(s) that you wish to play on.
• You must have a good internet connection speed. We kick high pings of over 200 as it severely impacts on members gameplay.
• You must install vent and any other software we use to communicate to each other.
• You must have a headset with mic. Or use a mic and speakers.
• If English is not your first language you must be able to converse reasonably well in English.

You must be able to meet the above pre-requisites.
This ensures a standard and fair approach to communication and connection issues by the members

What are the StormerClan Terms & Conditions that I must agree too?

All members must follow the terms and conditions laid out below, both in-game, in vent and on our website.
You agree to the following terms and conditions:

• You will not use any known exploits or in game bugs to your or other players advantage on our game servers.
• You will not run any hacks or cheats of any kind on any of our game servers.
• You will not take part or encourage stats padding or points farming on any StormerClan servers.
• You will use only the rates that are allowed on StormerClan servers. These can be found in the forums or by asking an administrator.
• You will use the [SC] tag in-front of your in-game username whilst playing on StormerClan servers and when playing on behalf of StormerClan in any match or friendly match. This is good for the public players to know who to turn too.
• You will not abuse any member or non-member within the www.StormerClan.com forums. Abusive posts will be deleted. If you must argue, email each other!
• You will not post any abuse or whinging posts about StormerClan, its members or administrators within the forums. If you have a problem you can email them directly. Arguing in forums doesn't look good on the Clan, and we are supposed to be about fun.
• If you have an admin role on the StormerClan website, you will not abuse the right by re-editing posts to include any comments that were not requested or agreed by the author.
• Your vent user name must match that of one of the in-game tags you use on StormerClan servers, one that StormerClan members are familiar with. This will be set up for you by MysticDonut or Gunslinger.
• You will not give out your username or password for StormerClan.com to any other person(s).
• If you leave StormerClan for any reason you understand that you will receive no refund whatsoever.

Failure to abide by these terms may lead to your removal from the clan, without monetary refund.
